Today we are preparing Scrumptious poha palak cutlet.
You can serve it at a party,
or serve it as a snack during evenings.
You will relish eating it.
Let’s start making poha palak cutlet.
For making palak poha cutlet
first of all wash and soften the poha.
We have taken 1.5 cup poha i.e 150 gm poha.
Take the poha usually used in poha recipes.
Wash the poha, drain out the water.
Wash it again as we need soft poha.
Drain the water.
Leave very little water in the
bowl so that the poha is soft.
We have left very little water in it.
Keep it aside for a while
so that they turn soft i.e for 5 minutes.
We have taken 1 cup finely chopped spinach.
Take 4 medium sized boiled potatoes.
Peel them.
Peel all the potatoes likewise.
Meanwhile stir the poha too.
So that the poha is puffed
up, soft and ready.
Grate them, All the potatoes are grated.
Place the oil in wok to heat.
Turn on the flame.
Mix all the ingredients.
Poha is puffed up and ready.
If you mash it then it is easily mashed.
Add poha to the potatoes, add spinach too.
Now add the spices.
In spices we have taken
1 tsp grated ginger.
You can take ginger paste too,
add 2 to 3 finely chopped green chili,
¼ tsp garam masala,
¼ tsp red chili powder,
1 tsp salt or to taste,
You can add more chilies if your
prefer it spicy.
1 tsp coriander powder,
¼ tsp dry mango powder,
¼ tsp turmeric powder,
Which enhaces the color,
and turmeric is good for health too,
You can skip using turmeric powder if desired.
It is optional.
Add 2 to 3 tbsp finely chopped green coriander.
Mix well until all ingredients blend.
All ingredients are mixed well.
The dough for cutlet is ready.
Let’s prepare cutlet from it.
Grease your hands with a little oil for making the cutlet.
Take out a little dough from the bowl and
make a ball from it.
You can keep the size of cutlet
big or small as desired.
Bind the mixture,
round it and press and give it a flat shape.
You can make cutlet round, square
or oval as desired.
We are making round cutlets.
Prepare round cutlets
and keep it in a plate.
Cutlets are ready.
Now fry them. Check the oil.
Drop a little mixture into oil and check it.
The mixture is fried, oil is hot.
We need medium high hot oil and the flame medium high too.
Drop the cutlet in oil to fry.
Put as many cutlet in the
wok as nay fit it.
Till the cutlets are fried
we prepare the rest of the cutlet s likewise.
Cutlets are golden brown
from below, flip them.
Fry them until golden brown from all sides.
Cutlets are golden brown, take them out.
Hold the slotted ladle on the edge of the wok like this,
so that the extra oil drains back to the wok.
Fry the rest of the cutlets likewise.
All the cutlets are fried and ready.
10 cutlets can be made with this quantity of dough.
It takes 5 to 6 minutes to
fry the cutlets at once.
Yummy Poha Palak cutlets are ready to be eaten.
The cutlets are really crispy.
You can serve them with green coriander chutney,
tomato sauce, or any chutney of your choice.
Making them is really easy.
But make sure that while
frying them the oil is neither less hot nor too hot.
Oil should be medium high hot
and flame should be medium high to make delicious cutlet.

Take 1.5 cup poha. Wash it, drain out water. Leave very little water in the bowl so that the poha is soft. Keep aside for 5 minutes. Stir the poha once. 2. Take 1 cup finely chopped spinach. Also take 4 medium sized boiled potatoes, and peel them. Grate the potatoes. Making: 3. Heat some oil in a wok. Mix poha, spinach and potatoes. Add spices such as 1 tsp grated ginger, 2 to 3 finely chopped green chili, ¼ tsp garam masala, ¼ tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp salt or to taste, 1 tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp dry mango powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 2 to 3 tbsp finely chopped green coriander. Mix all ingredients well. 4. Once the dough for the cutlet is ready, grease your hands for making cutlet. Take out a little mixture and make a ball from it. Bind the mixture, press and give it a round shape then keep them out in a plate. 5. Heat oil in a wok. Check if it is sufficiently hot. Drop the cutlet in oil to fry. Put as many cutlet in the wok as nay fit it. Till the cutlets are fried prepare the rest of the cutlets likewise. 6. Once fried and golden brown. Flip and fry them until golden brown from all sides. Hold the slotted ladle on the edge of the wok, so that the extra oil drains back to the wok. Fry all cutlets similarly. 10 cutlets can be made with this quantity of dough.
